Medical Assistant
Bellaire Allergy & Asthma is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who is also a team player. We are looking for a dynamic medical assistant who works well under pressure, can provide an excellent patient experience and is looking forward to working side by side with Dr. Jessica Rajan. Allergy experience is helpful, but not required.

Essential Functions
- Provide exemplary Customer Service during the patient’s visit
- Schedule patient appointments
- Prepare and clean exam rooms for patient examinations
- Show patients to exam rooms and perform medical history intake
- Provide accurate and efficient patient care in exam rooms while assisting physicians
- Coordinate test results, treatment plans, telephone calls/messages, and other medical information
- Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
- Perform various forms of allergy testing; administer allergy shots and biologic drugs
- Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Must have 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant OR must have a Medical Assistant Certificate
