Telemedicine

Telemedicine is an important tool that Dr. Rajan offers to her patients. It can be effectively used to evaluate many of your allergic conditions from the safety of your own home. These visits will be billed through your insurance and may require a copay. The virtual video visit is similar to an office visit, only instead of traveling to see your doctor you can video conference with them from your home. There are some limitations to the visit, however, since various forms of testing cannot be performed.

Requirements of Telemedicine

You may use a smart phone, tablet or computer. Be sure that your device has a working webcam and microphone. It is recommended that you use your home WiFi internet connection rather than your cellular connection. Find a quiet, private location if possible. Do not plan to take the call while driving in a vehicle. During your visit, remember to hold the camera in front of your face.

We offer telemedicine visits for those that would prefer to stay in the comfort of their own home for our initial new patient visit, routine follow-up visits, medication changes or prescription refills. This gives you the opportunity to meet with Dr. Rajan and allows for flexibility if you have a full schedule of work/family activities or have to travel a long distance. We use a safe and secure platform that allows you to share your symptoms so that Dr. Rajan can assess your symptoms, make a diagnosis, offer a treatment plan, send prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy and answer any questions or concerns you have.
